Content and connections

The app displays sermons, articles, books, recitations and videos from ahmedelfashny.com. Reading does not require an account. Bundled reading pages, text and video catalogs work offline from the first launch. Background checks download changed public content over HTTPS. YouTube playback, new file downloads and external services require connectivity. Hosting and content providers receive technical connection information such as IP address, browser information and requests under their own policies.

Local storage and PDFs

The app stores updated public content in its private files for offline reading. Content may also store preferences, cookies and display data. Network state is used to schedule background updates. PDF downloads temporarily use the app's private cache and are copied only to the destination you select through Android's document picker. The temporary copy is deleted after saving or cancellation. The app does not request broad storage, location, microphone, camera or contacts permissions. Clear app data or uninstall to remove local app data. Saved PDFs remain in your chosen destination until you delete them.

Sharing an image card or file creates a copy in the app's private cache and grants your selected app temporary read access only to that copy. Shared copies older than 24 hours are removed on a subsequent app launch; Android may clear them earlier. These files are not uploaded automatically.

Third-party services

Content can connect to YouTube for images and videos and to font and content delivery providers including Google Fonts, Cloudflare, jsDelivr and unpkg. These services may process connection and device information, cookies and interactions under their own policies. YouTube privacy-enhanced embeds are used where supported by the website; this does not mean all external requests are data-free. The Android app adds no advertising or analytics SDK of its own.

Contact and sharing

When you choose to send a WhatsApp message, email or share a link, the information you select is sent to the destination app or recipient you choose. Sharing does not send anything before your destination selection. Documents are not automatically uploaded to the developer. Contact the support email to ask about or request deletion of correspondence you sent; external services may retain copies under their policies.

Security and updates

The site uses HTTPS, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure. Changes to data handling will be reflected on this page. This policy must be reviewed when new services are added to the live website displayed in the app.
